Zombie Hand Cross Stitch Pattern PDF

A green hand pushes up out of a mound of earth and throws a peace sign. The joke does most of the work here, which is why the design stays simple.

Coverage is low at around forty percent, so the fabric shows through around the hand and the piece stitches quicker than its size suggests. Tall and narrow, it suits a rectangular hoop or a bookmark-shaped frame.

DMC 3364 Pine Green is the hand, with DMC 471 Avocado Green Very Light catching the light along the knuckles and DMC 3371 Black Brown separating the fingers. DMC 938 Coffee Brown Ultra Dark builds the soil and DMC 310 Black draws the outline that holds the whole shape together.

Print at 100% or Actual Size rather than Fit to Page. Because the design is tall, check that your fabric cut allows the full height before you start rather than after.

Stitch the hand before the soil. The mound is loose shading and it is much easier to place once the fingers give you a fixed edge to work against.
